Effective, Thursday, April 2, 2020, GLTC will limit the number of passengers on buses to a maximum of 9 passengers at any one time.  This is an additional precaution that GLTC is putting into place to adhere to the social distancing guidance of having a gathering of no more than 10 individuals.  Once a bus reaches capacity, the operator will display “Bus Full” on the outside destination sign and continue on route until someone exists the bus allowing room for another passenger to board.  We plan to have extra buses out to assist with passengers who may be missed, but we encourage all passengers to plan ahead and leave early to account for the possibility that the bus may reach capacity before arriving at your stop.

Governor Ralph Northam issued an executive order on Monday March 30, 2020 indicating all individuals to stay home and to only leave for essential purposes such as obtaining necessary supplies/food, medical, to attend work, or to care for another person or animal.  We are asking that individuals only take essential trips on GLTC during this COVID-19 Emergency.  Limiting contact with individuals is the only way to slow the spread and flatten the curve.
